FAQS

Where do swim lessons take place?

Swim lessons will take place in the therapy pool at the Anderson Aquatic Center at Cal Poly. You can enter using the side gate, next to the beach volleyball courts.

Is there any discounts offered for more than 1 child?

Yes, we provide a 10% discount for the second child.

Where should we park to get to the pool?

Parking can be tricky on campus. We suggest parking in the main parking structure (Grand Avenue Parking Structure) or side lots off Longview Lane. Important to note, all participants should still follow Cal Poly's parking policies and obtain permits as needed.

What should we expect swim lessons?

Swim lessons will be 25 minutes, 2 times a week, for 2 weeks. Each day is designed to teach foundational skills and water safety and confidence. Each group will focus on various skills (depending on their level) including blowing bubbles, submersion under water, monkey walks on the wall, floating, gliding and kicking.

What do I need to do to sign up?

Reserve your spot using the interest form (linked above). You'll need to email new athlete forms and waivers to "centralcoastdivingclub@gmail.com" before your first session. Our coaches will register each swimmer for AAU (which is required).

Why do we need to sign up with AAU?

AAU membership includes sports accident insurance coverage and is required to participate in youth activities on Cal Poly's campus.
